Vajra Dance Retreat with Anastasia McGhee
The Dance of the Song of the Vajra: Part I
Chicago, October 27-29, 2006

What is Vajra Dance?

The Vajra Dance integrates movement and contemplation into the state of instant presence (Rigpa). This meditation in movement leads to deep relaxation and the relative benefit of harmonizing the physical body, energy, and mind. The Vajra Dance is practiced on a Mandala, which represents the correspondence of the inner existence of the individual with the outer dimension of the world.

Who can attend?

These courses are offered for those who have already received transmission of Dzogchen and the Lung of the Song of the Vajra from Choegyal Namkhai Norbu.

Membership in the Dzogchen Community is required.

Each course is limited to 20 participants; minimum enrollment is 9 participants.

Structure of courses:

The complete course in the Dance of the Song of the Vajra takes five separate weekends to complete. Each weekend course segment consists of five teaching sessions of two to three hours. The length of some teaching sessions may vary to allow for all participants to learn well. As different steps are taught at each session, attendance at all teaching sessions is recommended. In addition, there will be two practice sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday. Detailed instruction will also be offered in arm positions, footpoints, and the mudra.
